How We Approach Therapy

We believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and meaningful - and, be grounded in an approach that's evidence-informed and responsive to each young person's needs.

Relationship First

Honest, predictable, child-led and curious. Young people always know what to expect here.

Affirming

Different sensory profiles,  communication styles, and ways of experiencing the world.

Collaborative

Their goals, their priorities, their say. Young people are our partners in this therapy space.

Transdisciplinary

Progress is a team effort. Family, educators and therapists can work together to support young people.

Evidence Based

We stay current with research, draw on professional experience, and adapt our approach.

Our Services

We offer a small, focused range of occupational therapy services. We welcome NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed, as well as self-funded.

Seasonal Occupational Therapy Blocks

Some young people benefit from focused support during periods of transition, overwhelm, or increased demand. Harmoni OT offers seasonal and intensive therapy blocks that provide targeted, short-term support around:

  • school transitions

  • burnout recovery

  • emotional regulation

  • executive functioning in daily life

These blocks are flexible and practical, designed to respond to what your young person needs support with right now rather than committing to ongoing sessions.

Assessments and Reports

We offer assessments for children and adolescents when needed, providing clinical insights and support recommendations.

  • Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA): this explores your child's functional capacity, support needs, and participation across home, school, and community. Often used to support planning and reviews.

  • Sensory Profile Assessment: this assessment can offer understanding of your child's sensory processing differences, environmental needs, and practical strategies for everyday life, with a written report and recommendations.
